Campus Tours
The Visitors Resource Center (VRC) offers specialized tours, by appointment, throughout the year. This summer, take your group (we can accommodate everyone from 50 fourth graders to 100 international guests) on a tour that highlights the greatness of WVU. If your group is interested in seeing Mountaineer Field, riding the PRT, attending a Planetarium presentation, or touring new facilities, the VRC can arrange it. Call 304-293-3489.

Mountaineer Parents Club Summer Send-Offs
To start each academic year off right, Mountaineer Parents Clubs located throughout the United States will be hosting Summer Send-offs for all incoming freshmen and their families to meet established WVU students, families, and alumni from the same area. Parents and students use this opportunity to learn more about WVU, to network with others in their area, and to discuss common concerns about University life. The Mountaineer Parents Club also sends University guest speakers to answer student and parent questions. Bookstore gift certificates and other great prizes are given away to lucky students and parents in attendance.
Summer Institute on Aging
Presented by the WVU Division of Social Work and WVU Center on Aging, this year’s Summer Institute on Aging June 1-4, 2009, will feature workshops and guest speakers.
Summer Seminar in Literary and Cultural Studies

West Virginia Writers’ Workshop
Hosted by the WVU Department of English, the 13th annual West Virginia Writers Workshop will be held July 16-19, 2009. The event offers the established as well as the aspiring writer an opportunity to work intensively with nationally renowned authors of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction.
